Halifax-Alberta Sale

Yet ANOTHER discount airline is competing for Canadian passengers. This time, it’s Lynx Air that’s jumped into the game. Offering cheap flights that will please East Coasters who travel west for work, Lynx is linking Halifax, Nova Scotia and St. John’s, Newfoundland to western destinations such as Calgary and Edmonton. Fly return east-west or west-east in August on cheap flights or in September on the cheapest flights available, with some base fares as low as $218, taxes in, using the promo code good until May 12. But HURRY! Many flights are already sold out.
When you’re paying only for a seat, beware of additional costs — monetary and otherwise — that such carriers add onto base fares. With Lynx, only a personal item is carried on free. You’ll get dinged extra for larger carry-ons and checked bags. And of course, you’ll have to pack a lunch because there’s not so much as a pair of pretzels to rub together on most discount airlines.
Other Lynx flights link Halifax with Toronto and Hamilton. In fact, those longer haul flights include a stopover in Hamilton, although you don’t have to disembark during the pause. Lynx got its start as a carrier for oil field workers, so they know the west-east-west routes very well. Still other routes are as comparatively cheap, such as Victoria/Calgary, Toronto/Edmonton and St. John’s/Toronto — this latter link is a great way for Newfoundlanders to find an affordable way to and from a major hub to make international connections without breaking the bank.
Flights from and to Halifax commence on June 29, 2022. Until May 12, use the promo code LIGHTHOUSE to claim a further discount on these already discounted flights. This promo code is no secret — it’s at the top of the Lynx website landing page, so its more a gimmick than an insider savings. But any discount is better than none.
